2. How ModernCV uses cookies

ModernCV uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage required to provide the service. Analytics and advertising technologies are optional and remain disabled unless you consent to the relevant category.

• Service continuity: remember information needed to move between document-building steps.
• Preferences and local drafts: retain settings and unsynchronized work on your device.
• Payment flow: enable secure checkout and billing management provided by Stripe.

3. Analytics cookies

When you choose “Accept all” or enable Analytics in Cookie settings, ModernCV uses Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to understand website usage and aggregate traffic. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies and process information such as page visits, interactions, browser and device details, and approximate location. Vercel Web Analytics measures page views without using cookies. Analytics is not loaded before you consent.

4. Advertising cookies

When you choose “Accept all” or enable Advertising in Cookie settings, ModernCV may use advertising measurement technologies such as Google Ads or Meta Pixel to attribute conversions, measure campaign performance, limit repeated ads, and support relevant advertising. These technologies are not loaded through this category before you consent. The specific advertising integrations must also be configured by ModernCV before they can operate.

Google consent signals for advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization are denied unless you enable Advertising.

5. Managing or withdrawing consent

You can reopen Cookie settings at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer. Refusing optional categories is as easy as accepting them. If you withdraw consent, ModernCV stops optional tracking, updates Google consent signals, and attempts to remove first-party analytics or advertising cookies previously set by ModernCV integrations.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies or clearing local storage may sign you out, remove locally saved drafts or preferences, and prevent parts of ModernCV from working correctly. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.

6. Third-party services

Providers used for authentication, infrastructure, analytics, advertising measurement, and payments may process information or set cookies when their services are used and the required consent has been granted. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy notices. Strictly necessary providers may operate without optional consent where their storage is required to deliver a service you request.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our use of cookies or service providers changes. If a change materially expands the optional purposes you previously accepted, ModernCV will request consent again. The latest version and revision date will always appear on this page.
